Creating Lifelong Learners

2nd Edition

See details below.

Active, lifelong learning has always been important in the IB, but what we know about learning has changed incredibly in recent years. Research into brain development, theories on learning styles and environments, and innovative technologies all have had revolutionary implications for education. How can teachers and school leaders put these developments to use as they encourage lifelong learning? And how can the IB mission statement and the learner profile support teachers in adopting brain-friendly classroom practices?

Creating Lifelong Learners makes a case for embracing these new educational considerations and brings educators up to speed on the latest research and global developments that affect learning. This second edition features new case studies drawn from a variety regions and IB programmes; it also connects IB principles and practices to the latest developments in education, including:

  • The explosion of digital technologies
  • Complications in the global economy
  • New findings in brain-based learning
  • Emerging theories on trust and leadership.

Also available as an e-book.

G&M Murphy Learning will provide a bespoke programme to meet the needs of your school.
